Switch and exit the organization

Switch organization

When an account joins multiple organizations, you can switch the current organization:

Click the avatar or account menu in the upper-right corner of the console.
Select Switch Team or Switch Organization.
Select the target organization in the organization list.
The system re-verifies member status and permissions.
After passing the verification, you will enter the default page of the target organization.

Status in the organization list:

The latest status must be obtained from the server every time you switch, and you cannot just rely on the local cache.

members exits the organization

Ordinary members can voluntarily leave the current organization in the organization settings.

Before exiting you should confirm:

You will no longer be able to access the organization after logging out.
All product permissions granted by the current organization will be cleared. -Original permissions will not be restored automatically.
Joining again requires re-invitation from the organization owner.
Business assets created by users in the organization remain owned by the organization.

Operation process:

Go to Organization Settings.
Click Exit Organization in the Exit Organization area.
Read the impact statement and double-check it.
The system re-verifies the current membership.
After successfully exiting, switch to another accessible organization; if there is no other organization, enter the unorganized page.

The master account cannot exit the organization it owns.

Page after member is deactivated

If the current member is deactivated in the organization, the console should block access immediately or on the next request and display:

Title: Cannot access organization [Organization Name].
Description: The current account's access in this organization have been disabled by the administrator.
Main operation: switch to other teams.
Secondary action: Log out.
Contact information: Contact the organization’s organization owner or administrator.

The current login account can still be displayed at the top of the page to indicate that the account itself has not been logged out.

If the account has other normal organizations, click Switch to other teams to open the organization switching pop-up window. Deactivated organizations remain in the list but are not clickable.

Page after member is deleted

If the membership has been deleted:

The current organization should be removed from the organization switch list.
Subsequent API requests to the current organization should return no membership status.
The page should say "You are no longer a member of this organization."
Automatically guide switching if there are other organizations.
If there are no other organizations, go to the No Organization page.

Deleted users can no longer view organizational data through old page links or browser cache.

Product without permission page

When the organization has activated a product but current members are not authorized, the page should display:

Title: No access to [Product Name].
Description: The current account is not assigned this product permission in this organization.
Operation: Return to the previous page or enter the authorized product.
Suggestion: Contact the organization’s organization owner to activate permissions.

If members only have read-only permissions, they should be allowed to enter the product and no unauthorized pages should be displayed; only write operations are restricted.

The organization has not opened a product page

There are two different states: the organization has not subscribed to the product and the members have no permissions.

When the organization has not activated the product, it should prompt:

The current organization has not yet opened this product.
The master account can view product plans or contact sales.
Ordinary members can contact the organization owner.

Do not prompt regular members to "Request Membership Permissions" because even if permissions are assigned, they will still not be available if the organization is not subscribed.

No accessible organization

If the account has no accessible organizations, the console should show a standalone status page instead of a blank screen. Possible reasons include:

The new account has not accepted invitations from any organizations.
The user actively exited the last organization.
The user was deleted from the last organization.
Membership in all organizations has been deactivated.

The page should provide:

There is currently no clear description of accessible organizations.
Check invitation emails for suggestions.
Contact the organization's master account for advice.
Log out and use the entrance of another account.

The current version does not currently support users creating organizations by themselves, and the "Create Organization" button should not be displayed.
