Quota, rate limits And Data Retention: Data retention period

What data is affected by the retention period?

Event details, visitor event logs, and risk-signal records are subject to the plan's data-retention period. Retention periods vary by package and are defined by your contract and console prompts.

The visitors page displays data aggregated by Device ID during the retention period. As older events expire, the corresponding visitor first appearance time, number of events, and risk signal summaries may change.

Page performance after exceeding the retention period

When the query time range exceeds the data retention period, the event list may be empty, or only records that are still within the retention period may be displayed. Historical events and risk signals in visitor details may also no longer be complete.

An empty result indicates that there is no available data within the storage period within the current query range, which does not mean that the access failed. Please also check the time range, application, region, and organization's data retention instructions.

Data retention and business archiving

The Geelab console only displays data within the retention period of the current package. When you need to retain event or risk records for a long time, please connect to the Server API or Webhook according to your compliance and audit requirements while the data is still queryable, and save the necessary data in your own system.

Please comply with applicable data protection requirements when storing it long-term and avoid storing unnecessary device and network information.
