FAQ
Risk Signals: FAQ
The risk level is high, must it be rejected?
Not necessarily. Risk levels are reference information and still need to be combined with confidence, business scenarios, other signals, and false-positive costs.
If confidence is high, does it mean fraud?
No. Confidence reflects the statistical credibility of detection results. It does not confirm a person's identity or constitute a final fraud decision.
If an event hits multiple signals, will multiple risk events be calculated?
Risk events are usually counted as events; if an event hits multiple signals, the number of triggers for a single signal will increase respectively, but it should not be simply regarded as multiple events.
Why doesn’t my platform have a certain signal?
Different platforms can provide different device and environment information. Please review the signal's supported platform descriptions, or contact Geelab to confirm current platform capabilities.
How to deal with "through observation"?
Choose flexible measures based on the business, such as increasing verification, reducing the limit, delaying rights, or entering manual review. Do not pass or deny all "pass-by-observation" events.
Can the level returned by Geelab be directly used as decision?
Not recommended. level is a reference for risk severity and confidence is a reference for statistical certainty; your business rules should generate the final decision.
